دير مار روكز – مراح المير القليعاتيُعتَبَر دير مار روكز – مراح المير أوَّل ديرٍ للرهبانيَّة في قضاء كسروان. بُني في ٢٦ أيلول ١٨٥٤، في عهد الأب العام سابا كرَيدي، بعد أن حصلت الرهبانيّة على رضى البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن. وكان الانتهاء من بناء الدير سنة ١٨٦٢. سنة ١٩٩٠ رُمّم الدّير بعد القذائف التي دمّرت قسمًا كبيرًا منه، وبنيت بقربه مدرسة لتعليم الأولاد.The Monastery of St Rock - Mrah el Mir QlayaatThe Monastery of St Rock is the first one for the Lebanese Maronite Order in Kesserwan. It was built in 26 september 1854 during the reign of Abbot Saba Kreidy after the approval of Patriarch Youssef Raji el Khazen, and the construction was done in 1862. In 1990 the monastery was renovated after it was damaged by bombshells during the civil war. A shcool was added to educate local children.

في أسفل الشير الصخري عند شاطىء صربا توجد مغارة طبيعية تعرف بـ"الباطية" وهي تعني "إناء للماء"، إذ تتضمّن المغارة حوضًا صخريًّ تملأه مياه البحر المحاذي للموقع.
فوق المغارة كان يوجد في السابق معبد قديم مكرّس لعبادة البعل. لقد شيّد المسيحيّون في الموقع كنيسةً كبيرةً كانت قد فُرشت أرضيتها بفسيفساء جميلة لم يبق منها سوى بعض الأجزاء. ومن ثم استُبدلت هذه العادات والتقاليد برموز مسيحيّة، فتحوّل الموقع إلى مزار للقديس جرجس، وأصبح السكان المحليّون يقصدون الموقع ويقدمون النذور للقديس جرجس لشفاء الأطفال من الأمراض المستعصية والنساء من مشاكل العقم.

The Shrine of St George El Batyeh - Sarba

Under a huge limestone cliff on the coast of Sarba there is a natural cave known as el Batyeh (meaning the water vessel) because it retains water from the neighboring sea. Over the cave, the Phoenicians erected a temple for Baal, that early christians converted to a church with mosaic flooring. Some of the mosaics are still visible. After the paleochristian era, the local pilgrimage and vitive customs attributed to the site were converted. The shrine was dedicated to St George, with an emergence of votive pilgrimage piety surrounding the place.

دير الصليب ومحابس مار بسكوان ومار سلوان - وادي حولات حدشيت

دير الصليب يعود للقرون الوسطى، هو دير عاصٍ فيه كنيسة بخورسين. في الحنيتين جداريّات بيزنطيّة بكتابة سريانيّة تمثّل في إحداها الرسل والأخرى البشارة. على الجدار الشماليّ جداريّة الصلب وتشبه الى حدٍّ كبير منمنمة رابولا وتنتمي للمدرسة السريانيّة. وضع الجداريّات مذرٍ بفعل مرور الزمن والتخريب. في سفح الجبل قرب الدّير محبستين، الأولى لمار بسكوان وهو شفيع الإستعداد للموت عند أهالي حدشيت، والأخرى لمار سلوان.

The Monastery of the Holy Cross and the hermitages of Sts Beskwan and Silwan - The valley of Houlat Hadsheet

The monastery of the Holy Cross is a medieval monastery in the Holy Valley. The main church is a double apse structure decorated by byzantine frescoes with Syriac inscriptions depicting on one apse the apostles and on the other the Annunciation. On the northern wall there is a fresco of the crucifixion from the Syriac school of iconography, most probably a reproduction of Rabbula’s miniatures. The frescoes are in dire condition due to time and sabotage. In the cliff of the mountain near the monastery stand two hermitages: St Beskwan the patron of the preparation for death to the people of Hadsheet and St Silwan the athonite.

دير مار يوسف - بان

سنة ١٨٠٩ في عهد الأب العام سمعان الخازن، أوقف أهالي بلدَتي بان وكفرصعاب عقارات للرهبانيّة اللبنانيّة المارونيّة بغية إنشاء مدرسة لتعليم أبناء البلدة. تحوّلت في ستينيّات القرن العشرين الى ديرِ قانونيّ. تحوي الكنيسة بيت قربان خشبيّ مذهّب ومذخّرين رومانيّين، ثلاث لوحات غربيّة الصنع، ولوحتين مشرقيّتين للعائلة المقدّسة ومار أفرام من القرن التاسع عشر.

The monastery of St Joseph - Ban

In 1809 during the mandate of Abbot Simon el Khazen, the villagers of Ban and Kfarsghab donated land to the Lebanese Maronite Order to build a school. During the sixties the school was converted into a canonical monastery. The church holds a gilded wooden tabernacle with two reliquaries, three western paintings, and two local XIXth century ones of The holy family and St Ephrem.
