دير مار روكز – مراح المير القليعاتيُعتَبَر دير مار روكز – مراح المير أوَّل ديرٍ للرهبانيَّة في قضاء كسروان. بُني في ٢٦ أيلول ١٨٥٤، في عهد الأب العام سابا كرَيدي، بعد أن حصلت الرهبانيّة على رضى البطريرك يوسف راجي الخازن. وكان الانتهاء من بناء الدير سنة ١٨٦٢. سنة ١٩٩٠ رُمّم الدّير بعد القذائف التي دمّرت قسمًا كبيرًا منه، وبنيت بقربه مدرسة لتعليم الأولاد.The Monastery of St Rock - Mrah el Mir QlayaatThe Monastery of St Rock is the first one for the Lebanese Maronite Order in Kesserwan. It was built in 26 september 1854 during the reign of Abbot Saba Kreidy after the approval of Patriarch Youssef Raji el Khazen, and the construction was done in 1862. In 1990 the monastery was renovated after it was damaged by bombshells during the civil war. A shcool was added to educate local children.

كنيسة مار أنطونيوس الكبير القديمة - الرميلة

هي كنيسة بعقدٍ سريريٍّ وحنية واحدة، تعود للقرون الوسطى. بدايةً بنى هذا المكان المسلمون الشيعة، بدليل إتجاه البناء نحو الجنوب وليس الشرق، كما هي عادة الكنائس. في القرن الثامن عشر، وبعد معارك مع الدروز ترك الشيعة البلدة وأسكنوا الموارنة مكانهم، وأعطوهم البناء فحوّلوه إلى كنيسةٍ على اسم مار أنطونيوس الكبير. تعرّضت الكنيسة للتخريب خلال الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة سنة ١٩٨٥، ورمّمت في تسعينيّات القرن العشرين.

The church of St Anthony the Great - Rmeileh

The church is a medieval crib vaulted structure. In the beginning, the building was built by the Chiites, for this reason it is oriented to the south and not to the east like other churches. In the XVIIIth century the Chiites left the village after their battles with the Druze. The Maronites came along and settled in and were given the old shrine that was converted into a church dedicated to St Anthony the Great. The church was severely sabotaged during the Lebanese civil war in 1985, and it was renovated a decade later.

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٧٥٥ في عهد البطريرك يعقوب عوّاد وكرّسها المطران سمعان عوّاد اسقف صيدا. هي اولى الكنائس المارونيّة التي بنيت في منطقة شرقيّ صيدا وساحل جزّين. تتميّز بهندستها البسيطة وبالنقوش على أعتاب أبوابها المنخفضة. خُرّبت إبّان الحرب الأهليّة وأعيد ترميمها في تسعينات القرن العشرين.

The church was built in 1755 during the pontificate of Patriarch Jacob Awad and was consecrated by Sidon’s bishop Simon Awad. It is the first maronite church in the vicinity of Sidon. The architecture is simple and doted with symbolic arabesque over the small narrow doors. During the civil war it was heavily damaged and restored during the nineties.
